Sustainability Reporting Analyst (Temporary 2 years contract) (Hybrid, m/f/x/d, 80-100%) [Luxembourg]


 

About the Role


This newly formed role will support execution of our Group and P&C Reinsurance Sustainability strategy, driving forward all of the P&C Re BU's sustainability reporting needs in compliance with the evolving regulatory landscape. Over the last year there has been a growing number of projects to prepare for sustainability reporting readiness. This individual will act as interface to these projects, a conduit to those needed to deliver data from within the Reinsurance business units, and a project manager and a change manager to ensure an effective delivery of reporting capabilities. The role is a two year fixed term role.


Main responsibilities


  • Point person and first port of call for all P&C Re reporting projects including but not limited to: EU taxonomy, CSRD, CDP, CTP, RBI cp.

  • Project manage all aspects for the business unit related to reporting projects.

  • Appropriately manage socialization & liaise with internal partners including the technical/data specialist in the Chief Underwriting Office.

  • Where appropriate build & implement reporting needs into existing tools/systems to facilitate an automated delivery.

  • Institute organizational change processes for impacted community members to ensure accurate take-up.

  • Work with P&C Re community to build and foster relationships with sustainability topic owners of our clients. Work with L&H Reinsurance unit to build in L&H aspects as disclosure requirements evolve to include them.

  • Support delivery of Reinsurance sustainability critical metrics

  • Share standard methodology to ensure we demonstrate our experiences in other parts of the company across the Re BU.

  • Liaise with other Reinsurance Business Units (to ensure consistency in approach and that full Reinsurance picture expressed through reporting.

  • Be instrumental to internal outreach across the Group and Business Units to ensure that we truly do embed sustainability across the business.


About the Team


Sustainability Markets Team supports the Group Sustainability Strategy through client engagement and origination on underwriting and solutions, out of the P&C Reinsurance business unit. Regulatory readiness is a part of this.


About You


  • Strong project management skills with an eye toward operationalization.

  • Comprehensive finance knowledge and/or previous sustainability reporting experience

  • Commercial and performance minded personality which includes strong understanding of what sustainability means for re/insurance; proactive problem-solving approach, including on small incremental improvements as well as financial savviness of what brings cost efficiencies and value

  • Ability to think and act holistically with a focus for collaboration, given that sustainability goes beyond internal organisational set up/LOBs

  • Courage to do things differently, demonstrating both humility and pragmatism

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to persuade

  • Excellent partner management skills, including ability to build rapport and respect of peers and clients

  • Innovative personality who is able to think outside the traditional box

  • A bachelor's degree or post graduate level qualification in a sustainability-related field &/or reporting-related background would be an advantage.
