Solution Consultant (Design & Engineering) Japanese Speaker [South Korea]


 

Responsibilities/Main Activities:
Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (formerly PPM) is seeking to hire a Solution Consultant (Design & engineering). The successful candidate could reside anywhere in Japan or Korea.

The selected candidate needs to excellent communicate in Japanese (Speak read and write); As the Solution Consultant specialising in Design/ Engineering, you will be responsible for providing technical and subject matter expertise for Hexagon Design/Engineering (2D & 3D) technologies and later to further expand into project delivery solutions in pre-sales engagements. You will be working closely with sales teams across the sales segments and Industry Consultants needing their support in establishing the value of the Hexagon solution for achieving customer business outcomes through technical presentation and targeted demonstrations. As well as conducting relevant training of internal teams for the purpose of knowledge sharing.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Business Development Support

  • Support building and growing pipeline of opportunities for Design/Engineering solutions for APAC.
  • Responsible for driving the growth of Design/Engineering solutions in the other “key growth areas” in the region by working with local sales teams, industry Consultant, and other solution consultants, through account plans and opportunities.
  • Responsible for building and driving initiatives required to support the growth of Design/Engineering revenue within APAC, working with local sales teams through account plans and opportunities.
  • Responsible for the adoption and execution of GTM (Go-To-Market) packages or EP (Enablement Packages) where Design/Engineering solutions are part of the package.
  • Be able to articulate the context of how Hexagon’s Design/Engineering tools can help achieve the business outcomes defined by Industry Consultants and prospects.
  • Work closely with Industry Consultants in training and establishing the value of Hexagon’s Design/Engineering solutions in various industries.
  • Develop messaging for Hexagon’s Design/Engineering solutions, with a focus on key differentiators.
  • Deliver key campaigns, with the support of marketing, in the promotion of Hexagon’s Design/Engineering solutions individually and with integration with other solutions in different growth markets.
  • Support sales/partner enablement activity, e.g. training, developing messaging and support lead generation for Hexagon’s Design/Engineering solutions individually and in conjunction with other products and solutions and GTM packages or EP where Hexagon’s Design/Engineering solutions are part of the package.

SME/Technical Pre-Sales

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise and the central point of contact for Hexagon’s Design/Engineering solutions in the region for pre-sales engagements.
  • Develop repeatable demonstration systems and content for Hexagon’s Design/Engineering solutions, or to a specific customer’s requirements against sales opportunities.
  • Understand the customer’s requirements and suggest proper ways to meet the requirements from a technical point of view.
  • Support key customer engagements in delivering Proof of Concepts or Pilots for Hexagon’s Design/Engineering solutions against sales opportunities.
  • Work with new and/or existing clients to define their requirements, qualifying the fit of Hexagon’s Design/Engineering solutions and defining roadmap together with other members of the opportunity team.
  • Contribute to the development of Sales proposals and estimates for Hexagon’s Design/Engineering solutions.
  • Provide technical content for tenders and RFxs as well as assist with benchmarks.
  • Liaise with Product Managers to understand product direction, maintaining an in-depth knowledge of Hexagon’s Design/Engineering solutions and able to manage the Sales Team and client expectations.
  • Liaise with Services teams to provide feedback to the product managers on the field and based on customer requirements.
  • Participate in the ideation and development of GTM packages or EP where Hexagon’s Design/Engineering solutions are part of the package.
  • Work with the Services team in reviewing technical and scoping documents and liaison the knowledge transfer of sales to services.
  • Liaise with Solution Consultants in other regions for lessons learned and best practice sharing.
  • Attend trade shows, seminars and user conferences and be capable of presenting technical papers, demonstrations and presentations.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualification in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

Skills and Experience

  • Fluent in Japanese language (speak/read/write).
  • Customer service experience.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a team and to work independently with key customers as required.
  • Confident in presenting to a group in a customer environment as well as at shows and seminars.
  • Good project planning and specification and estimation skills, together with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop realistic project plans.
  • Confident working with Enterprise IT personnel and managers to determine system architecture and design needs.
  • Good understanding of Cloud interoperability – RESTful APIs, client/server and web technologies.
  • Prefer to have experience and knowledge of the process, instrument, electrical or piping.
  • Good knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems – Oracle, MS SQL Server and proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Desirable: Good working knowledge of Hexagon ALI’s solutions (Smart 3D, Smart P&ID, Smart Electrical, Smart Instrumentation).
  • Typical Experience: At least 2 years experience with 2+ years of plant engineering, software development or implementation experience.
