As a Software Engineer at TriOptima you will be an integral part of a development team that design, build, evolve, and maintain the TriOptima services.The development teams are highly self-driven doing continuous deployment. You are involved in many different stages of the product development. Everything from new concepts, features and products - to refining and expanding on existing features and products. Our Software Engineers work closely with the product teams, collaborating with UX/Product Designers, Product Managers, Systems Engineers and Product Writers.
Our services help stabilize the global financial system. Our customers depend on our services to save them money, time, and help them follow regulations.
In this particular role you will work in a quant team with the responsibility to produce fast and accurate risk calculations for a wide variety of financial products and use cases. Even though you will belong to the quant team you don't need to have any experience in financial mathematics, what's more important is a solid software engineering background with a passion for architecture, collaborating across multiple teams and experience with designing systems that span across multiple components. Improving developer tooling will also be one part of the your responsibilities. The quant team works very closely with an application development team and this role will serve to fill the gap between both teams and you will be able to contribute to both teams backlogs.
Technologies used
We build web-based services and our teams individually choose the technology best suited for their needs. This particular role will be focusing on our backend calculations and architecture. Some technologies used are: C++, CUDA, Python, Go, MySQL, Cassandra, and Kubernetes.
Who are we looking for?
- While it's good if you are familiar with some of the technologies above, we don't expect you to know it all. We expect most people to have solid experience in some tech stack and learn on the job. The stack is just a small part compared to the product itself.
- We have developers with a lot of different backgrounds, regarding both work experience and education. At the end of the day, what really matters is that you have a genuine interest in programming, problem solving, and learning new things.
