We are hiring a Lifeguard for a gym/based club in Kuwait.A lifeguard is a trained professional responsible for ensuring the safety of individuals in swimming pools. Their primary duty is to prevent and respond to water-related emergencies and incidents to ensure the well-being of swimmers and visitors.
Surveillance: Constantly scanning the water and the surrounding areas to identify potential hazards, distressed swimmers, and unsafe behaviors.
Prevention: Taking proactive measures to prevent accidents and emergencies by enforcing facility rules and regulations, such as no diving in shallow areas, proper use of equipment, and maintaining order in the water.
Rescue: Reacting swiftly and appropriately in case of water emergencies, such as drowning or other injuries, by performing water rescues and providing first aid as needed. This includes the use of various rescue techniques and equipment, such as rescue tubes, buoys, and backboards.
Emergency Response: Administering first aid, CPR, and other life-saving techniques when necessary. Lifeguards should be trained in basic first aid and hold certifications like CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) to respond effectively to medical emergencies.
Communication: Maintaining clear communication with fellow lifeguards, facility staff, and visitors to coordinate response efforts and keep everyone informed about safety procedures and rules.
Education: Educating swimmers and visitors about water safety guidelines, proper swimming techniques, and potential hazards to prevent accidents and incidents.
Maintenance: Conducting regular checks of the facility to ensure equipment is in working order, water quality is safe, and the environment is hazard-free.
Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of incidents, rescues, and any other relevant information to facilitate reporting and analysis.
Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with other lifeguards and facility staff to ensure a coordinated response in case of emergencies and to create a safe and organized environment for visitors.
Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by addressing visitors' questions, concerns, and needs, while still prioritizing safety.
Physical Fitness: Maintaining a high level of physical fitness to be able to respond quickly and effectively in physically demanding situations.
Training: Participating in ongoing training sessions and skill assessments to stay updated on the latest water safety techniques and protocols.
Should have Certification in LifeGuard and CPR
