All-round IT Field Engineer (on-site IT support) [Hungary]

You might be a System Administrator or a Network Engineer; we are looking for all of those skills BUT key for us is your drive and enthusiasm.

What will you do?

  • You will IT support end-users by solving various IT issues: From simple "my printer won’t print" up to really complex issues such as large-scale data migration
  • There is a mix of routine/ booked work with clients and ad-hoc work for break & fix issues
  • The job is done mainly on client’s sites around Budapest, so it requires traveling around the city
  • We do not micromanage - you will be independent, responsible for your time and client’s satisfaction
  • As you will be the primary point of contact for some of your clients, you must be a friendly & reliable representative of Dworkin

What does a day on the job look like?

Every day of this job will be different. It can be challenging and will enable you to learn a lot of new skills. The harder you work, the happier the customer; then the more you will be rewarded both personally and in your pocket! If you enjoy variety and flexible working on a variety of tasks with different clients, you’re the kind of person we want! Here are three examples of working days you might experience:

  • You visit a client to do a post-installation Wi-Fi survey, then troubleshoot any outstanding issues with Wi-Fi connectivity
  • In the morning, you visit a client to resolve an urgent Priority 1 ticket as none of their machines will log in. Once resolved, you visit another nearby client to check in with them about some equipment they had delivered for an upcoming project
  • You visit a client as part of regularly scheduled, on-site support we provide and help them with any new and outstanding tickets raised

What experience and qualifications do you need?

  • Fluent English
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the IT support area
  • Experienced in using, logging and documenting technical issues in a ticket managing system
  • Experience in fault diagnosis/troubleshooting and fulfilling requests
  • Experience with DIY & handywork is a plus, as you will often be using tools to install client equipment
  • Have a valid driving license
