Shoptet is the largest e-commerce platform in the CEE region, our technology helps thousands of retailers and brands sell online.
You'll lead an R&D team that works on React-based frontend templates and a visual builder for them. The stack is based on React, Next.js, GraphQL, and related technologies. This is a multi-year challenging project where strong technical background and leadership skills are both required.
You will be part of Shoptet’s Engineering team and working directly with our CTO Borek Bernard. You’d also closely work with Denis Chripák, our Frontend Team Lead who’d be your partner on all things frontend.
What will be your agenda?
- Lead a team of frontend engineers working on new React-based storefronts, including a visual page builder.
- Work with our CTO Borek to come up with a tech vision for the team.
- Participate in technical solution design, code reviews and still coding sometimes (all of our tech leadership is highly technical).
- Provide guidance & mentorship to the team. Support them with their professional development.
- Collaborate with product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize tasks, and work on delivering them on time.
- Be a part of hiring and growing the team to ensure it’s adequately staffed.
Our expectations:
- You've been working as a React developer for several years and are familiar with technologies such as Next.js, GraphQL, or TypeScript.
- We hope you also keep an eye on other technologies and trends in the industry like Tailwind CSS, Remix, Solid.js, tRPC, RSCs, etc. This space is evolving quickly and the team needs to react to modern trends.
- You have previous professional experience with leading and managing an engineering team.
- You have experience collaborating with a product manager or owner in your previous roles.
- You’re fluent in English.
