Job Description: We need a skilled Video Editor who can make awesome videos from raw footage. As a Video Editor, you'll work with our creative team to create really cool videos for different industries. Your job is to edit videos, add effects, and make sure they look great. You should know how to use video editing software and tell interesting stories through your work. It's important to be good with time and pay attention to details because you'll work on many projects and have deadlines. If you love editing videos and have a creative eye, we want you to join our team!
Responsibilities:
· Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
· Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
· Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
· Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
· Create rough and final cuts
· Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
· Edit videos to make them look awesome and engaging.
· Ensure the final videos meet our high-quality standards.
· Collaborate with the creative team to understand project goals.
· Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
· Use industry-standard video editing software proficiently.
· Pay attention to detail for consistent and polished videos.
Requirements:
· Skilled in video editing with a talent for making awesome videos.
· Experience using video editing software (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
· Creative mindset to tell engaging stories through video content.
· Attention to detail to ensure videos look polished and consistent.
· Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
· Time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
· Passionate about video editing and committed to delivering top-notch work.
· BS degree in film studies, cinematography or related field.
