As an intern, you will work at the core of our infrastructure on a wide range of projects while you turn challenging technical ideas into reality. Responsibilities:
- Optimize existing firmware
- Build new Android boot image using standard kernel and device specific device tree
- Research working
- Build completely new firmware from code for our Qualcomm-based device using AOSP. Target should be Android 12/13
- Debug issues that might occur
- Work together with the development team
Requirements:
- Experience with the AOSP code base in either a community or business setting
- Deep understanding of Android build environment, Android platform tools such as adb and fastboot, as well as Android shell commands
- Installed modded ROMs, even better if you've built them from source
- Practical knowledge of Android hardware as an Android enthusiast
- Passion around AOSP and Android in general
- Excellent communication, analytical, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Enthusiasm, team spirit and a very high degree of independence round off your profile
- Fluent in English.
